Call for papers-aboriginal writers of canada

A variety of critical perspectives and/or themes are encouraged; however, papers should discuss an Aboriginal (particularly First Nations and Metis) author and/or work(s) with particular emphasis on uniqueness, nuance, complexity, and creativity of the writer/writing. </P>
<P>Some themes that may emerge include:<BR> * language and style<BR> * audience and community<BR> * standards of literary evaluation<BR> * resistance aesthetics <BR>* genres and genders <BR>* space and borders </P>
<P>We invite submissions of three (3) copies of either proposals (300-500 words) or completed papers. Please include a 100 word abstract and a brief bio-bibliographical note (50 words). Also submit an email or computer disk with the same information. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2004. </P>
